Our story started in the most unexpected place: work.

Brandon and I happened to work the same shifts, and what started as simply walking into work together slowly became something neither of us expected. We started chatting more, finding little reasons to talk, and getting to know each other a little better every day. Somewhere between our conversations and those not-so-subtle sneaky glances across the department, something started to change.

After work, Brandon would teach me how to drive stick shift in the parking lot. What was supposed to be a lesson in driving quickly turned into an excuse to spend a little more time together. I’m not sure how much I actually learned about driving stick, but I definitely learned that I liked being around him.

At work, we would catch each other looking from across the room, both pretending we weren’t staring. The more time we spent together, the harder it became to ignore the feeling that there was something special between us.

Eventually, we went on our first date. And after that, there really was no going back.

From that first date on, we became inseparable. What started as two coworkers walking into the same shift together turned into late conversations, parking lot driving lessons, stolen glances, countless memories, and eventually a love story of our own.

Looking back, it’s funny to think that something as simple as walking into work together would lead us here. We didn’t know it at the time, but those ordinary days were the beginning of everything.

And now, we get to spend the rest of our lives walking into every new chapter together. 🤍
